The NWA HLC Eco-system

Giving Circle

The NWA HLC in partnership with the Latino Community Foundation of California established the first Latino Giving Circle in NWA in August 2018.  A giving circle is a group of people who pool their resources in order to collectively contribute to issues they deem important to their community. Our Giving Circle will also seek large entity donations and engage in other fundraising activities to fund chosen programs.

In 2021, a new partnership for fundraising was established with the Arkansas Community Foundation. You can join by donating to the  NWA HLC Giving Circle

Mentoring

NWA HLC members will provide mentors and speakers at events and programs designed by local community organizations such as MiFuturo, LULAC, ALPFA, Hispanic Women’s Organization of Arkansas and the University of Arkansas Office of Latino Academic Advancement and Community Relations.

We will also assist in creating awareness of the different education choices available in our community: public schools, charter schools, private religious schools, and private secular schools, by partnering with other local organizations.

The first Mentoring Cohort, Latinx on the Rise, was launched in October 2019.
